First College Game

My first college lacrosse game felt unreal. Pulling up to play La Salle University, everything started to hit me at once. I was excited, nervous, and honestly just trying to take it all in.

From the start, I could tell this wasn’t high school lacrosse anymore. The pace of the game was way faster. Everyone was stronger, quicker, and more confident with the ball.

One of the biggest things I noticed was how different some of the rules felt compared to high school lacrosse. It felt more physical, and the spacing and advanced. Even small things, like how quickly transitions happened or how the draw controls made a huge difference.

At first, it was a little overwhelming. I had moments where I doubted myself, like “Can I really keep up with this?” But at the same time, it made me realize that this is exactly where I’m supposed to be, even if I’m still growing into it.

Walking away from that first game, I learned so much. Not just about the differences in rules or speed, but about myself. I realized that the jump from high school to college is something where I can grow and be better.

That game was just the beginning for me. And if anything, it made me even more hungry to keep improving and prove that I belong here.
